County by county update of road conditions

Throughout East Tennessee, most counties are saying the main roads are clear but the secondary and back roads are slippery. Overall, the general consensus is still if you don't absolutely need to leave your home, you should just stay in.

Here's a county by county update of road conditions as of around 4:30 p.m.

Anderson- Back roads icy, main roads clear.

Bell- Main roads clear, back roads icy.

Campbell- Roads looking pretty clear, no accidents, but still use caution.

Claiborne- Main roads watching for refreezing. Back roads hazardous.

Bell County

Dispatchers say there is no sign of ice but the roads are extremely slick. They have not had any major wrecks.

Historic part of K25 complex demolished

The K-25 uranium enrichment plant in Oak Ridge played a vital part in the Manhattan Project during World War II. Now, 70 years later, that complex is almost completely demolished.

"Today is a very significant day," said current demolition contractor UCOR president, Leo Sain, shortly after one of the final buildings, the "north tower" was leveled.

"We had a lot of work inside the building, such as removal of waste we had to get out before we could demo," Sain added.

Leon Houston pleads not guilty to gun charges

One of two Roane County brothers with a long history of fighting law enforcement has pleaded not guilty to gun charges.

Leon Houston was in federal court Monday. He's charged with possession of a gun while using illegal drugs. His brother, Rocky Houston, is charged with felony possession of a firearm.

Federal agents installed a camera on a utility pole beside the Houstons' property. Prosecutors say the camera caught Rocky Houston with guns. He is a convicted felon and cannot have a gun.
