Police worried about possible officer impersonator after break-in

Police in Kingston say a business break-in has them worried someone may be trying to impersonate a police officer.

Officers say someone broke into the A1 Tactical Supply Company on Thanksgiving. A long list of things were taken, including THP badges, handcuffs, and chemical spray.

Authorities are asking everyone to be on alert, and if you have questions about anyone presenting themselves as a police officer, call 911.

Cancer survivor hands out scarves to chemotherapy patients

Cancer survivor hands out scarves to chemotherapy patients

An East Tennessee cancer survivor is on a mission to help fellow cancer patients feel sassy when they cover up their head with a hat or scarf.

Samantha Garcia has endured two rounds of breast cancer.

She says she hated the feeling of being stared at when she wore a scarf to cover up her head during cancer treatments.

Garcia wants to do away with that stigma, make scarves sassy, and just support other cancer patients.

So, she and her friend started a Facebook page and received more than three hundred scarves and hats from across the county.

Fans from the other side are taking on Tennessee in a brand new SEC rivalry.

In September, Gator fans came to town.

In October, Bama fans showed up.

Now it's November, and Mizzou fans are here in Knoxville.

"It was about an 11 or 12 hour drive. 677 miles from home to here," Mizzou fan Ed Kays said.

His RV got just 7 mpg on the trip to Tennessee.

The message sent by Tuesday night’s election is not completely clear but one thing is obvious.  The voters did not reward gridlock. The American people want their leaders to get something done. Soon.
