U.S. Secretary of Labor discusses Rx Tennessee grant at Roane State
Roane State Community College hopes to help more than 1,500 Tennesseans earn healthcare credentials in the next few years.
A $12.5 million Rx Tennessee grant will go to a group of schools headed up by Roane State. That's all of the Tennessee Board of Regents community colleges and Tennessee technology centers.
Wednesday, U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis was at Roane State to discuss the importance of the grant. She says the money will help folks here get successful and sustainable jobs in healthcare.
