I-40W reopens after wreck in Roane County | News

Interstate 40 has reopened in Roane County after an accident.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. Thursday near mile marker 355.

The westbound lanes of the interstate were shut down for about an hour and a half. Traffic backed up for about three miles. Drivers in the eastbound lanes encountered some delays.

Dispatchers tell 10News that a Lifestar helicopter was sent to the scene.
