Road closed for months by massive Harriman fire to reopen

(WBIR-HARRIMAN) A street closed for months in downtown Harriman is expected to reopen Thursday.
Crews closed Hwy. 27 (Roane Street) after a massive fire in January caused the old Miller and Brewer building to collapse
Officials began demolishing a few adjacent buildings damaged in the fire last month. That work is now complete.
City Manager Kevin Helm says weather permitting, Roane Street should reopen by Thursday evening.
Crews still need to fix a portion of the sidewalk.
