Woman accused of allowing teens to drink, smoke pot at party

A Roane County woman is accused of letting a group of teenagers drink and smoke marijuana at a party at her house last September.

Kimberly Lynn Hall, 47, of Harriman is charged with eleven counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor after a birthday party at her home on September 21.

Record breaking year for Roane Co. economic development

Roane County's economic development agency, Roane Alliance, knew 2013 was a good year. After all, they worked to bring new industry to the county.

But it wasn't until they started researching numbers for their annual report that they discovered 2013 was a record breaking year.

Pastor helps rescue 3 East TN boys who fell through the ice

Update Sunday 12:30 p.m.:

The three boys who fell through ice on Watts Bar Lake Saturday morning have been released from the hospital.

According to the Nurse Supervisor on duty at UT Medical Center, the three boys were discharged Sunday morning. Earlier Sunday, they were listed in stable condition.

Saturday night, one remained in serious condition, and two were listed in stable condition.

Mistrial declared in Rocky Houston's federal gun trial

(WBIR) A error in jury selection has forced a mistrial for a Roane County man facing federal gun possession charges.

After federal court closed early on Tuesday because of snow, Rocky Houston was back to face a jury Wednesday morning.

Twelve of the thirteen jurors made it in this morning, despite the icy road conditions. But one of those jurors was not supposed to be there, according to Houston's defense attorney.
