A same-sex divorce case out of Roane County is heading to the state court of appeals.
Frederick Borman married Larry Pyles-Borman in Iowa back in 2010.
Court documents show the couple separated a year later. Under Iowa law, a couple doesn't have to establish residency to marry within the state, but they must live in the state to be granted a divorce.

(WBIR-Roane County) After the Roane County Commission voted down a property tax increase for the second year in a row, local schools are facing $1 million in cuts, including security cameras, textbooks, teacher salaries, and maintenance repairs.
